I defininatly think global warming is taking place. As BUD says there also is a cycle of hot and cold temps. I believe GW has amplified that cycle.

Improving air quality by reducing emissions and creating safer communities in hurricane prone areas could be a lucrative venture. Reducing world oil consumption would also remove much of the global tension we are seeing over energy resources.
I agree with you on air quality. I think that is a big problem and I am 100% for making a cleaner environment for us all. However, I am not sold on man causing GW that will become bad enough to put many areas under feet and feet of water (as Al Gore suggested in his movie). Instead, my take on it is that it is mainly a natural cycle that is slightly influenced by man and other factors (solar, etc). I think it can easily be discussed without the mass hysteria created by news sources and politicians.

And that is what bothers me the most. I do not think this should be a political issue at all..instead I think this should be mainly a scientific issue. Seems like so many people are buying into or denying GW simply by looking at what their party is doing. What we need to do though is research the facts (on both sides of the field) and make our own decisions on what we think is happening.
