My wife has a tatt of a long stemmed rose with a heart next to the rosebud, and my name over the stem. It's very pretty. I don't care for the overboard stuff like whole back tattoos and such, but.....
I've always wanted one. On my upper right arm, close enough to my shoulder that a short sleeved shirt would cover it. The problem is I have absolutely no artistic talent. Couldn't draw my way out of a paper bag. Any bored artist out there want to take on a project? I'm thinking a USMC emblem, with an F-4 Phantom leaving a contrail out of one of the rope sections and flying in the lower front of the emblem. That would rock..

I don't have any professional tats on me, but I did apply one to myself in my teens that I never finished, thankfully its where not many people can see it.
One day I wouldn't mind getting it covered by a professional.
It doesn't really bother me to see them on other people, although the head to toe tats I see on some is a bit over the top.

I've got one......and I hate the damn thing. It's on my right forearm. I was 20 years old, drunk and on leave in Saigon in the spring of '71. It's a foot with wings, which was my units insignia. All it has done.....is to spawn endless questions and serve as a horrible reminder of a very difficult year.
