My Body Is Burnt Out

#1 Postby Janice » Fri May 04, 2007 3:17 pm

What is one thing your body will not do that you could do years ago?

I cannot do the splits or do a cartwheel.

Well, I haven't actually tried lately, but I'm pretty sure I can't do a handstand anymore.

I can, however, still do somersaults! It's not quite as much fun as it used to be, though.

I think I can drink as much as I used to, I just won't last as long. Over two drinks and I am tipped.

No more babies, but at 62 I'd probably be on TV if I could!!! I can't work endlessly like I used to. I can't see like I used to. Sometimes I can't even find my glasses!!

Oh, Pburgh, I am 62 too. Fun, isn't it? I usually write down on a sheet of paper what I am going to do and most of the time, I lose that sheet of paper.

Kneel. Even when I use one of those knee foam pads when I scrub the floor they still bother me, then I ask the hubby to help and he uses a mop, sigh, so I go back down and just do it.

Other things too, but this is the one that most bothers me.

Wow, let's see. Where do I start..

1) I probably can't walk as far as I used to able to run.

2) Once upon a time I could do about 70 sit-ups in two minutes. Now that would take about two hours. Maybe. On a good day.

3) Kneel. At all. Knees are shot. Read 1)

4) Comb the hair on my temples.

Oh Janice, I lost that piece of paper too!!!!!! lol It's hard to be organized when you lose your list!!!!
I forgot all about the knees. Yessssssss, I was always kneeling down to pick up things. (the lady like way to do it!)
Now it's, oh heck, bend over and pick it up! Looks horrible but feels soooooo much better. When I get down in my gardens it really is a PAIN to get back up ---------- so I just crawl around!!!!!!!!!!
