Overpopulation

Our planet is maxed with people. I don't know how many years it will take to double our population to even more.

With a double increase of population, what will be one major concern?

Of course, man or nature could wipe out a large portion of people.


Me... Food will be a big concern

nature has a way of taking care of the population problem. disease, famine, natural disasters.

Competition for resources would be a large concern. In addition, this would affect local areas (and poorer regions). I believe limiting our use of natural supplies would offset the negative effects of a larger population.

Maybe nature will just sit by and watch us destroy ourselves. We are over populated now and nature is not slowing it down much.

This is pretty much my view of it, although eventually nature will find a way to take the matter into its own hands.

Indeed. I don't think many understand how devastating a declining population can be to today's economies.

I personally believe that there will be another world war within the next decade. However much s**t it would cause it would (I believe) in some ways help society, 1st by helping the overpopulation, and secondly by changing the way people look at their life.

Actually, hasn't the population growth rate leveled off?

I remember reading in a book that the problem is not people breeding like rabbits, but people no longer dropping like flies.

I think I heard somewhere before that the entire world's population can live in the state of Texas. It would be as dense as New York City.
