The thing is, we're (humans) speeding up the process ten-fold, practically unneccessarily. The technology is here to where the CO2 output should be much much less..yet we choose to live lazily and ignore the signs. Dont get me wrong, im not one of those environmental freaks and this topic is not AS serious to me as I make it seem, but it annoys me to know that we're practically ruining our home almost willingly.

One biggie is he claims that GW BOTH increases hurricanes and drought over Africa
West Africa's drought has increased since the early 90's. So has hurricane activity.
But Gore's biggest point was strength of the hurricanes that form. How is the West Africa drought going to prevent Hurricane X from becoming a Cat 5 off the coast of Houston?
Even many skeptics who've viewed the film say there are very few things they'd call blatantly inaccurate. Mostly, they just disagree on some of the data interpretation.
I've only seen a couple of articles point out huge lies. In each case, the "lies" were fabricated by someone who hadn't even watched the film.

The Global Warming proponents probably figure even if the current warming is just a long term trend that will reverse itself in 20 years, why not use it as an excuse to improve quality of life on earth?
Improving air quality by reducing emissions and creating safer communities in hurricane prone areas could be a lucrative venture. Reducing world oil consumption would also remove much of the global tension we are seeing over energy resources.

I tend to agree with you....IMHO, it's cyclical. We don't have much evidence of these cycles such as it where....the oldest tree ring study only goes back 2000 years, what about 5000-10000 yrs. ago?

Nature will always correct an imbalance sooner or later, IMO. Whether thats good for any particular species (including us) is another matter altogether.

Your giving us to much credit. We are not parasitic. We are saprophytes. The earth in itself is a living organism. See the Gaea theory. As homo sapiens we contribute nothing. We exist on dead organic matter.
