I had a pretty good time in high school. I graduated in 1993 and I don't remember too much about the last day of school but I do remember at the graduation ceremony, after we threw our caps in the air, many of us just cried and hugged one another. That was the last time I've seen most of them. I do keep in touch with 1 person I graduated with but that's it. I didn't go to my 10 year reunion and from what I hear, only about 30 people actually showed up our of a graduating class of 190. Your life will change and many new things and people will come your way and high school will become just a small step in what you've done in your life. Good luck!

I was glad to be rid of high shool. Aside from my friends, I did not look back. I haven't attended any reunions (and this year is the 20th!!!!), simply because I don't care to see many of those people. Its a past life for me. Finis. Over.

I haven't been to any of the reunions either. That's mostly because I only attended that High School for 2 1/2 years and I only knew a few people. I grew up in NY and those reunions I probably would've went to. At any rate, I don't live far from my alma mater and I do see some people I went to school with from time to time.

Graduation was memorable. There was one student who was the first person in his extended family to graduate high school. When his name was called, about 40 people went nuts. (Then they went home and had a possum feast. ;) ) But, the last day was pretty forgetable. I think I just walked out with my twin brother and a bunch of friends, turned around to look at the school and just said 'bye.'

I just got an invitation to my ....., well to one of those reunion things. I've never been to the others, so i might actually attend this one. i think at our age, we're probably well past the bragging stage.

We recently went to Johns 40th year class reunion. We had a great time. John went to a small town school and we were surprised to see from his small class that everyone did really well. Most went to college, branched out to other states and seem to have very nice lives. Our reunion was fun, three days at a lake lodge, golfing and just spending a lot of time going over the past. It is like getting to know everyone all over. We still keep in touch. If you don't keep in touch, you miss a lot.

fact-- As a high school teacher, I see those "last days" every year. And I cry every year to see students I've known for 4 years head out to start their lives. This is just the beginning. You have so many great experiences and adventures just waiting for you.
As for my last day of high school, it was kind of stinky. My boyfriend broke up with me! He was heading off to college in August and felt we should start our time apart right after graduation. I haven't seen him since. But, I do still have friends from high school days.
Enjoy this wonderful time!

I can't believe you're heading out already Jonathan. It's hard but it's the beginning of new adventures, new people, new opportunities. Think of it that way rather than the end of HS. I know you'll miss your friends, but you can keep in touch with them. Best of luck man.

My 20 year reunion is in June and I cant believe it has already been that long. The good news is even after all this time I am still VERY close to my best friends from school. I am told by several people that to still b so close to my friends is rare!! Maybe it is but we had a special bond then and still do. The hardest part is the one that is so very far away.

At any rate, try and enjoy the last day my friend. There are SO very many doors that are about to open for you! Keep your options open and your head held high, this is just the beginning! Life awaits you, go and get it!!!

I just took that very very long walk home, of course I cried. I feel like I am ready to move on. I have to give a speech at graduation and then HS will be over! I still feel very attached to school. On to SPC!!!

Are you registered for the summer or fall? What will be your major?

Congratulations on your graduation! Are you going to have a party? You should, you deserve it!!!
