Have you ever had a police officer knock on your door at home?

Yes, but he's a neighbor and his dog was over here playing with my dog. They're like best friends and his dog keeps getting out of the fence to come over here.

Puppy love - whatcha gonna do?

Yes I have. He's my sons roommate and patrols my area of town. We've invited him to dinner quite a few times.

The only time a police officer ever came to my home was to report that my daughter was in a car accident.

Only one: came by my house was when I was younger. My mom just had gall bladder removal and one came knocking on my door asking for some man and he had a search warrent. We told him it was only us who lived there and we invited him in to look around. He didnt come in, but found that incident very funny and apologized a ton.

Not to our house, but we've seen them at the neighbors before. I got pulled over by the police in September of last year. Freaked me out to no end... I don't think I've ever been that nervous. I almost didn't want to drive home afterwards.

Yes....everytime Michelle locks me out of the house, I have to "knock and talk" my way back into my own house "LOL!"

I do a LOT of "Knock and Talks"....I LOVE seeing the LOOKS on their faces when they open the door, you can literally see the color drain out of their faces!

Not at my door, but I once had the police respond to my carport because I tried to have a few friends over for a party and one of my guests had a little (lot) too much to drink, and wanted to drive home. I was making a lot of noise trying to stop him and grab his keys, and one of my neighbors called the police. I don't blame the neighbor for calling; would have done the same thing myself. The police gave me his keys, and held me responsible if he were to drive. I woke the next morning, keys in hand, to find the car was gone. He hot-wired it and drove home anyway.

Quite a few times back in the day. Mostly for partying too loud, and another time I don't care to talk about. 8-)

Yes many times. My 15-year-old son has been in and out of trouble since he was 11. One of his friends is a frequent runaway and this is the first place that the police go to when looking for her.

:grrr: Yep, in the old neighborhood, a flashlight was being beamed in the front window (it was 2AM)and they woke up the whole house (we lived with my mom--in-law at the time, she was still up and was screaming for us to come down the stairs)they were asking who owned the blue Buick Regal, told them it was mine-he told me that the car alarm wouldn't shut off and they were going to disconnect the battery, they told me that some guy had the hood up and when they got out of the car he ran. I asked him instead of waking me up why didn't you chase the guy?????? He said the alarm was making a lot of noise and that they were getting calls on it so they ran the license and went to get the owner (me)He assumed that the guy was the owener. I'm like &(()&(&* the (&(& guy was trying to steal my car!!!!!!!! :grrr: He said Oh I'm sorry, they were getting too many phone calls for the "noise" and wanted to diconnect the battery but wanted to tell the owner first! Oh man I was pissed :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:
The car was parked about 3 blocks away because there was no parking on our street so I could barely hear it.

BTW they never got the guy, bunch of idiots, no wonder the murder rate here is skyrocking! (nothing against you Dennis, the cops here in Phily are mostly worthless, not all, but these guys were :grrr: )

Well, a whole fleet of police officers knocked on my door after they discovered that I stole one of their cruisers.

Ok, not really. I wouldn't be typing this right now. :P

A few times in this house; all looking for my neighbor across the street, though

Once when I was in college, because I called them to report that the 90 year old man across the street hit my car and drove away (while I was watching out the window). I felt terrible calling the police; I knew the man, but he really, REALLY should not have been driving (his vision was terrible and in a neighborhood with lots of kids that is not a good thing!); I think he lost his license after the accident. I wouldn't have called if he had stopped, but when the police talked to him he said he didn't notice - I was ROFL at that because his bumper got caught in my wheel well and he really had to gun the car to get loose and drive away.
