End of Semester - GAH!

#1 Postby kevin » Wed Apr 25, 2007 8:56 pm

This is the part of the show where I bemoan having to write three papers, two due on Friday and one Saturday morning. Additionally I have to rewrite a paper for Democratization in Latin America by Monday since that's a requirement of the course regardless of how good we do the first time around.

At least I only have 2 finals next week.

Here are the classes I took this semester. Its hard being a political scientist trapped in a historian's body.

* LAH 4472 19th to 20th Century Caribbean History
* Comparative Politics 3204 African Politics
* HIS 3942 History Practicum
* Comparative Politics 4306 Democratization in Latin America
* International Relations 4531 Politics of the E.U.
* WOH 3043 The World Since 1945

Papers due in Modern Caribbean, African Politics, and History Practicum.

Already have done papers for EU Studies and World Post WWII.

Sk00l is driving me insane people. I thought this was supposed to be about drinking and finding attractive females to spend time with...

Commiserate with me procrastinators, starving college kids, and overworked workers.

Sure, people are going to strangle me for this, but the end of this semester is sort of a non-event for me. All I have standing between me and graduation is a Latin final (where we can use a cheat sheet) and a life sciences final (which is open book). Excellent. :slime:

I have papers I am working on as well. This is the worst part of the semester for me, too, but I am much more motivated than usual knowing that this is my last semester of classes, minus summer courses.

I get a take home final in one class tomorrow(LOL), and have a WEEK to do it! Next Thursday is my last day, writing an essay in English class. That is it. Next week I don't even think I'll have any classes on Tuesday and maybe Wednesday, and no 8am class on Thursday(home at 9:30 on Monday, 11 on Thursday).

:slime:

I don't think I'm going this summer. I really need to for one class but it's complicated and a mess.

Ha Ha been there and done that. I am soooooo glad that I have already gotten my two degrees and don't have to worry about end of semester anymore :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

But then again I have been thinking of going back to persue a phd. But the thought of writing and defending a dissertation is kind of intimidating. Oh well maybe later.

Hosanna to the son of Thomas (me)! I have brought forth in myself a miracle. Progress.

I've gotta mock AP exam tomorrow and 3 to study for, one on May 9, one on May 11, and the final one on May 15.

Let's start procrastinating now! :layout:

I'm about to finish the semester in two hours. On Monday I had the final on Geology, non-cumulative. Yesterday I had the final in Meteorology, cumulative. Today I had Calculus 1 @ 11 AM, cumulative (I hate this class), and @ two I have the final for Solar System Astronomy, non-cumulative. Fortunately the labs didn't have finals, had two in the semester.

In the summer I will take a Humanities class, and I'm working on a possible internship.

Sandy.

I think I might survive.

As time passes I feel less and less interested in academia. I've found becoming a professor or a diplomat doesn't have the same allure it did years ago. Tomorrow I could go back to the family construction business, and in a few years it would be mine. One must finish what one starts. Only one more year.

My work is nearly complete. One more thing to write, which I am writing and then, while my most loved girlfriend drives me to college in the morning, I will sleep.

Thank you all for your encouragement.
