=[ That's sad. I'll admit I didn't even listen to more than one or two Cash songs until after seeing Walk The Line, but I love his music now!
I did noticed a possible error in the article though:
Johnny was raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Ha, I'm being nitpicky, but I just wanted to point that out.
I did noticed a possible error in the article though:
Local architect Braxton Dixon built the three-story house in 1967 for his own family, but Cash fell in love with it. Mr Dixon was apparently reluctant to sell but Cash, who was raised in a Federal resettlement colony in Dyess, Tennessee during the Depression, kept after him.

The 60's and 70's are becoming a bygone era in music.
Bob Dylan was mentioned in the story, he had a lot of influence in the music world back then. I would guess Dylan had influence even outside the folk and country genre. You hardly ever hear old pop classics from the 60's by groups like steppenwolf on the radio anymore.

That story was all over the Nashville news, yesterday evening. I left work at 5:00pm and turned
on a Nashville station in my car, and, they were talking about it. Being an old Bee Gees fan, I knew
that Barry Gibb and his wife Linda had been working on remodeling that house to it's prior grandeur,
and, it made me sad that the house and dreams went up in flames.
