supposedly it is snowing in Huntsville right now and there was a report of sleet in Missouri city. (this info. comes from Channel 11 meteorologist Dan Meador). That is pretty crazy! If the sleet in Missouri City is true (which I believe it is since it came from a meteorologist), then I would say we are all fair game this afternoon to see wintry weather.

Maybe, just maybe, y'all will get lucky and get some type of frozen precip where you are.

I'm in New Waverly, right at the Walker/Montgomery County line. It sleeted here for about 2 hours. There is no longer any precip falling. My son works in Huntsville, and called about an hour ago, said it was snowing.

It's 47 here and sounds like it's sleeting. Is that possible? My daughters friend said the precip is bouncing off the hood of his truck.

any kind of accumulation from the 2 hours of sleet? or did it all just melt instantly?

It's sleeting here! It was coming down quite heavy a few minutes ago but melting when it hits the ground because it's too warm. Still, to be sitting at 43 degrees with sleet on April 7th is amazing!

I have a bird feeder, and it normaly takes them about 2 or 3 days till I have to re-fill it. I filled it just before dark last night, and I'm going to have to go out before long and fill it again. We have a few baby birds around here, and I would think they have a lot of eggs around to keep warm. and as I type this it's 40.0 here with light rain, and I think I hear a bit of ice hit the window from time to time. Could just be wishfull thinking?

I see mostly rain right now. I don't see why sleet can't fall later today.

I wonder if we will see more sleet tonight or just a rain event? It was sleeting hard enough earlier that you could feel it crunching underneath your shoes while walking around on the driveway. This is wild!
