At least "Gilligan's Island" had a laugh-track so you knew when the entertaining moments were happening.

Wow indeed!!!! Don't read if you haven't watched yet.

So many, great parts tonight. First off, I have to say it - Boone! Awww, I missed him. Sawyer's comments about who the heck Nikki and Paolo were. He was speaking outloud for fans! As each flashback started, I'd think - do I really care about these two characters - no! Boring, boring I'd think. Until Boone and Shannon showed up and scenes from the pilot. Question - do you think these early crash scenes were filmed from the get go or did they film them later, as Nikki and Paolo were given names? I absolutely loved Jack's live alone/die alone speech again. But did we see him say this from a different angle? We don't own Lost on DVD, but I'm sure the die hard fans were checking. LOL! What else - Paolo eavesdropping on Ben and Juliet's conversation. She was barefoot, did you all catch that? Proof these hatches were all connected, at one time. Before crazy man Mr. Clean starting blowing things up. I thought Arst (sp?) had more lines tonight than the lone episode where he died.

But wow, that ending! Reminded of the 2 Buried Alive movies......creepy stuff.

Promos for next week look great. Another can't miss Lost episode - well who among us would miss this show? LOL

Next....

I wasn't as crazy about the episode last night, especially because these 2 characters are so minor in the overall scope of the island story. LOL I must say though, that I wasn't real sorry to see Nikki die once we all discovered what a, um, demanding, manipulative, murderous girl she was. So, do these 2 count towards the 3 dead or not? I wonder if they'll dig themselves out.....should be interesting.

I'm looking forward to next week. Will be great seeing Kate kick some butt again! LOL Let's just hope the episode lives up to the promos and it is as good as last week's.....

Another record low in the ratings... down to a 6.8 in the fast nationals. 11.2 million, lowest-rated new episode EVER! ABC is bringing encores to 9pm in May, but based on this week, they might be starting much sooner. The show at 8(Great American Dream Vote) bombed horribly bad, so it'll probably be pulled by tomorrow.

From the Official Podcast:

- There is a short Elizabeth Mitchell interview. Nothing definitive. EM says she believes the aloe scene made Juliet ashamed of being one of them.
- CC met the two writers on the WB show Black Sash.
- They call the background characters "socks".
- RE: Pikki death. The writers felt there was "no other way for them to learn their lesson".
- Originally, they wanted to do an entire episode of the Expose` show, then have the reveal at the end that it was a show within a show.
- Biggest thing, IMO ... the monster makes its return in Left Behind.
- The guy falling from a window in Numbers was NOT Locke.
- Christmas may be celebrated in Season 4.
- Rose and Bernard have an "awesome" storyline coming up.
- The idea that Locke was suggesting to Ben that he was not healing because he was doing things like eating refrigerated chicken, is sort of correct.

Awww - Rose and Bernard! Finally....I've missed them.

It's gonna take quite a lot for me to accept and like an other. Meaning, be sympathetic to Juliet's plight.....lol

I have to comment on one of Sawyer's comments.....he claims to have never noticed Nikki before. But she was parading around in either a pink bra or bikini top in front of Arzt. So bad boy Sawyer never noticed her? Sure, I buy that, not.....anywho as Nikki played out her scenes and destiny - speaking like Locke here - this actress kept reminding me of two other actresses: Joey Lauren Adams ("Big Daddy", "The Break-up", "Dazed & Confused") and Piper Perabo ("Cheaper by the Dozen 1 & 2", "Coyote Ugly" to name a few....). All 3 have similar qualities - that was eerie!

Las Vegas Beauty "Drops In" on Lost?
According to a fresh press release from ABC, Marsha Thomason will make her first appearance on Lost on April 18. The Las Vegas alumna's billing as simply a "parachutist" would seem to mesh perfectly with what executive producer Carlton Cuse revealed about the new arrival to Ausiello (second Q) — the first person to report on Thomason joining the cast — more than a month ago.

Of course, were this truly Gilligan's Island, the "parachutist" would turn out to be just an experimental Air Force robot.

Yes, let's keep adding characters and ignoring ones already established. *sigh* I am getting tired.

Garrett - you said it, I want more on our beloved characters. And maybe along the way you could be treated with a Libby flashback, after she got to the island. As we had last week with Boone and Shannon (although I was never a Shannon fan, just Boone).

Sometimes you have to wonder why the writers are doing this. Are they rotating cast members so half or more have time to go back home? I read a recent article that had quotes from Sun, she said it was wonderful for most of the cast to be together again (for filming). Fans feel like this is turning into several shows, under one heading, but her quote made it sound like cast members feel this way too. How do you promote show comraderie if you rotate cast members and then add entirely new ones? Imagine being a new cast member coming on the set. Yikes!

I'm in it for the long haul here, I will not abandon this show. That is just how I am with TV shows - 99.9% loyal to them. But I am growing weary of new characters. Very.

Who's been ignored? Flashback-wise? Plot-wise? Of course, it's easy for me to say I don't understand, because I know basically who has flashbacks for the rest of the season (except for the finale) and who is involved in the "A" plot and "B" plot for some of the upcoming episodes (but I have no details).

we now know what the fence is for.

I am now convinced that the others are not the bad guys at all and are the good guys. They are just trying to protect themselves from whatever and who ever is controling that monster

lurker... I am very interested in more of what is going on back on the island. We were sucked into the whole Charlie story... gone. Sun and Jin... she's pregnant? maybe? I haven't seen anything about it. Rose and Bernard??? They alive??? What about the numbers? Penelope? Things are just getting way too scattered. Last night was good in that I learned more about Kate and I love the flashbacks that make things a little clearer. But the story is getting too fractured for me. I can't care about these people if I don't see them on a regular basis. I was emotionally attached to the show and the characters Season 1 because I had a reason to.... I was rooting for them to survive and take on the Others. Season 2 I reluctantly supported the tailies but came to accept Eko, Ana Lucia, and *swoon* Libby as the writers gave me a reason to care. Now this season, I don't. This show is losing me and fast. It better find a way to keep me watching. The answer is simple. Give me a reason to care.

Poor Des...thinking his long lost love had finally come, and lo and behold it's some new girl. Boy, oh boy, Kate has got to deal with her jealousy issues. It's pretty obvious Jack likes Juliette, so Kate should stick with Sawyer, I think....he truly cares for her - you can see it when he looks at her. Poor guy....

Anyway....not a terrible episode, but not an earth-shattering one either....only, what? 5 left in the season?? Hope we get some more goodies in before the finale....

There will be more goodies :). Next week, back to Sun and her pregnancy. D.O.C is the title. Then back to Locke and his dad, and Episode 20, Ben (a lots of goodies, hopefully, for Derek, since he likes the Others ;) and I'll keep my mouth shut about the last two weeks(Episode 21 and Episode 22 & 23).

Charlie's story came back last night and his flashback is Episode 21. So, it still there, just pushed in the background or the 'B' Plot until Episode 21.

ETA: 4/20/07 MAJOR Charlie story on Episode 21 if the rumors/spoilers are to be believed. . . and no, I don't know if he lives or dies at the end of the season. . .
Sun and Jin... she's pregnant? maybe? I haven't seen anything about it.
Sun's pregnancy will come up again next week. Remember what Juliet said about the date of conception. The father of the baby will probably be the key to her survival. If it's Jae's, Sun will survive. . if it's Jin's, then she will die, unless Juliet comes up with a solution. Juliet was brought to island to solve the problem of women dying during their pregnancy. She is convinced that the key to the Others' problem is that the babies were conceived on the island. The women who conceived off the island (Claire, Danielle?) survived and gave birth to healthy babies. Juliet now has one pregnant woman who possibly conceived on island (Sun) and speculation is that Kate may be pregnant (there is a reason Kate and Sawyer were left in the cage alone together. Ben probably arranged some guinea pigs for Juliet. The Losties are expendable in their view).

Rose and Bernard??? They alive???
Yes, per the Official Lost podcast.
What about the numbers?

. . .the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 -- also known as the Valenzetti Equation. The Valenzetti Equation ['. . .predicts the exact number of years and months until humanity extinguishes itself." The numbers are the ". . .numerical values to the core environmental and human factors of the Valenzetti Equation". The purpose of the DHARMA Initiative is to change the numerical values of any one of the core factors in the equation in order to give humanity a chance to survive. However, Thomas Mittelwerk reveals that as of 2006, they have failed to change the values through manipulating the environment, as the equation continues to arrive at the same six numbers.

Check out the Lost Experience.

Yeah, episodes 19 and 20 will be really interesting. Some more spoiler information came out this morning about Episodes 19 and 20. There was some information about Locke and Ben, that has altered my view of what the finale would be. I thought it might be a Locke/Jack showdown (man of faith vs. man of science -- remember from Season 1? -- or those who want to stay vs. those who want leave). But if with the disturbing information about Episode 19 and 20, I am beginning to see may be it will be a Losties vs. Others showdown.

Oh, Episode 20 is called:

[spoil]The Man Behind the Curtain -- another Wizard of Oz reference -- remember Henry Gale ;)[/spoil]
