Eastern and Mid-eastern Heat

#1 Postby JonathanBelles » Sat Mar 24, 2007 12:17 pm

Here in St. Pete it is 78 degrees, going for 85. Thats at least 2 months ahead of schedule. Look at Atlanta, its 76*. The humidity makes it feel like its June . The entire country except the desert south west is above average for highs and lows:

Could this be a sign of things to come? I think it may be a long, hot, dry summer at least in florida. The only hope in sight here iis that I saw the first line of seabreeze clouds blow over around 7:30 last night.

the warmth certainly is unprecedented.
Even up here in Toronto, the forecast for Monday is up around 19C or 20C 66F to 68F..which will be close to record highs for the date of March 26.

With all the record warmth in the US from coast to coast, from the Pacific to Atlantic...you might be right jonathan...it sure looks like it could be a sign of things to come for later in the Spring and more importantly into the summer.

seems only natural that a period of extreme heat should replace a long period of extreme cold in the east. Shows how nature seems to balance out over time.
