Sigh, I remember this storm all too well, it was the final straw that totalled my trailer...I had a branch go thru the roof of it on March 9th, then that storm with all the snow just wiped out the whole interior and we had to give up camping. And I rmember the thundersnow with that too, man it was AWESOME! And digging out was fun too, had to dig out my mom-in-law's house then drive over to my mom's house to dig her out and put all of her snow in the back of my hubby's 250 what didn't fit in the yard. It was fun!

That is one anniversary I am not allowed to forget. We had to postpone my oldest daughter's 1st birthday party. I guess it's a good thing it wasn't a year earlier, she might have been a home delivery!

Low Barometer

#6 Postby jimvb » Sat Mar 17, 2007 6:19 pm

This storm produced the lowest barometer reading I have ever seen here at my house: 28.47 in, which is lower than many hurricanes. We got 1.5 inches of snow in the morning, then pouring rain all day long with temperatures around 35 F, then another 1.5 inches of snow and sleet at night. We did not get 20 inches because the temperature crept above freezing.

Oh, yeah! I remember that one. We had ice and snow all the way down here on the coast! I won't ever forget the date because it was my bro-in-law's birthday. The snow was fun, but family got stuck upstate (with that foot of snow up there) and it was freezing down here. :cold:
