Expect some flooding soon..

Wow are the temps up in Minnesota and Wisconsin warm after all of the recent snow! Geesh.. Thunder Bay Canada even in the 40's! Anyway the forecast looks pretty warm for alot of that area and the plains. Colorado is in the 60's! Some power melting and hence flooding if this keeps up for the week.. Springs is around the corner. 8-)

Due to the absence of snow cover and very cold temperatures earlier, the ground is frozen to a depth of 5 feet in MN so a rapid warmup and snowmelt would cause very serious flooding plus the meltwater would all run off which would not help the water table in the Drought areas of MN.

most of our snow has melted away, northern Minnesota and southern Minnesota will probably be the most likely for flooding as they are the ones that have gotten the most snow this season...
