According to my latest from the NWS it is possible to get down to 29 here that night! Wouldn't that be wonderful?? May help get rid of those bugs and fleas that just don't ever seem to go away.

This cold wave is overhyped, the temp forecasts are already going up. Only getting down to 41 here apparently, which would mean mid-upper 30's for inland regions. This winter just doesn't have what it takes to produce some real cold.

Yes your right just another overhyped cold spell. Low 41 here in West Boca Raton. I wouldn't be surprised if it only got down into the upper 40's. The high pressure that was suppossed to be directly overhead is now going to be in the GOM and ridging NE over Florida giving us some wind and the temps won't bottom out. The NWS raised my low 4 degrees since Wed. I suspect this trend will continue.

There was a 20% chance for snow and sleet in Jacksonville and Gainesville last night.

Did that actually happen anywhere?

The NWS offices did a pretty good job with last night's forecasted lows, as predicted here in the Orlando metro area did not see a freeze, there were a couple of spots to our northwest closer to Ocala where it got slightly colder, and slightly warmer than forecasted in the coastal areas of Volusia county.
Officialy Orlando may go with a fourth year in a row without a freeze, tomorrow nights temps shouldn't be any colder than they were this morning, after that our usual early spring like weather should take over.

Hard to believe Orlando hasn't gotten a freeze.. considering many interior locations here have.

City Heat Island Effect plus with all area lakes makes Orlando hover above freezing most of the times when interior areas across central FL go near or below freezing. In fact, Orlando almost has the same low temps with a NW to Northerly flow with coastal towns as Melbourne all the way down to Vero and sometimes Ft Pierce, but colder than the barrier islands of course.

A lot of crops were damage this last freeze, only the strawberries seem to have survived. Hope the warm weather is coming back to stay Tuesday.

It wasn't that cold near the South Dade coast. But, the wind was tough to deal with. Some decent wind chill.

Doesn't look like a series of cold fronts blasting through, though. Warmup has already commenced in earnest and will continue through the rest of the week.
