Brrr.... our low this morning was 12º. Looks like the cold air will hang around for all of this week, with some chances for winter precip across the region during the latter half of the workweek.

Some other low temps in the region from this morning:

Topeka, KS: 12
Goodland, KS: 5
Lee's Summit, MO: 9
Jefferson City, MO: 12
Ft. Smith, AR: 21
Jonesboro, AR: 22
Muskogee, OK: 22

It was pretty cold this morning. I didn't even get up until 11. :D

Looks like portions of this region could see some light snows over the next few days. Accumulations should be on the light side... mainly an inch or two at most, with an isolated location or two possibly receiving 4".

Snow advisories are out now for SE Kansas, much of eastern Oklahoma, and far NW Arkansas. In these areas, they can expect to see up to 3" of snow today and tonight. The snow will have to overcome dry air at the lower levels, which will lower overall accumulations.

1" at Cassville, MO
1.6" at Carthage, MO

Man, it took me over an hour to get home from work this evening (from downtown Tulsa to the suburbs around 101st and Memorial).... :cry:

Roughy 1-2 inches of fluffy snow.... :D

Looks like a really exciting week coming up next week. From Oklahoma east and northeast to the Carolinas and then up the coast. Looks like 3 events. :D
