i know its a wayz away but could this be the next extreme cold blast from the arctic circle?

Looking at the ensembles, the GFS seems to be on the right track. As soon as the cold air mass begins to moderate, this second blast should come down. By then, the plains will have a very nice snow pack and should still be below average when the next area of cold air comes down. In short, this one has the potential to be even colder, especially for areas in the Eastern US if this verifies.
