Wow, that's an insane severe weather map...

Almost the entire northwestern quarter of the nation is covered in white.

Some of the white is freeze or frost advisories, as in California, and some are miscolored - I found a wind advisory when I clicked on the southernmost county with white in California.

My main concern is for this Friday (Dec 1) and for December 9 - when GFS seems to indicate a big storm with large areas of snow.

Well, when I posted it, they were all snow or freezing rain-related advisories. It's not nearly as impressive now, and now there's a lot of windchill advisories.

Right now there's a red tornado watchbox filled entirely with white winter storm warnings...crazy stuff man :eek:

I'm starting to get the feeling that this might be the Wild Winter, that people on the Forums have been hoping for these past roughly five winters. I just hope for everyone's sake, and safety, that is isn't too wild.
