The new run of the ETA, I hate calling it NAM, has a 1056mb high entering the northern plains on Sunday.

One thing that bugs me all the time about the Houston / Galveston Weather service is that they normaly don't put out any watches, and or warnings, when every office around them does. Have a look at the National Watch/Warning map:

The Houston forecast area is totaly blank.

Give it up Extreme! Methinks we'll have to wait for the next system to get our hopes up for Houston.

As long as we get something (preferably snow) before the winter is over..I will be happy. lol

but I still have hopes that this system will surprise me in some way.

To be fair... the one from Lake Charles is simply a Short Term Forecast. Not a watch or warning.

I don't think I can remember a time when we had a Winter Weather Advisory and Tornado Watch in effect for the same areas.

An amazing storm system for sure ...

There was a tornado warning out for Medina County and it expired at 9:00. I think we will experience every type of weather in a 24 hour period.

I think this may have to do with the HGX computer problems this afternoon.

Thank you Jeff, this is what I was trying to say earlier

WB39 news just said "a little sleet could mix in north of I-10 as the rain is ending tomorrow".

There is still hope!

They do have marine statements out which is all that applies right now. You can see them better on the HGX home page. There is no need for Winter Advisories for us and the T-Storm watches are controlled by the SPC. Just a good old-fashioned front for us....

they should have wind advisories out by now though. Also, I think winter advisories are probably needed in northern areas of the forecast area (so they can be in line with the DFW advisories).

The reason nothing has been issued though is likely because of their computer problems.

I will hold my thoughts till the page changes, as we are deep in to page 25 here.
Seems I always have a thought at the end, and it goes into "the cyber bit bucket"

That 'donut hole' you're seeing is actually expansion of the Bear Creek Dome. For those new to the TX threads, the BC Dome is infamous for deterring any weather event that heads towards west Houston. I've sworn by it for 14 years. :D

From Neil Frank's TV affiliate - about as good as anyone can predict at this point...:

It's been very difficult to write these words as there is a difference in opinions with the forecast beginning Friday. The front moves across Southeast Texas Thursday morning and will bring a chance of showers or thunderstorms. Accompanying the front will be a 20 to 30 degree temperature drop. Skies will clear late Thursday and that'll set the stage for near freezing temperatures Friday morning. Then we get into the gray area of the forecast. Several forecast models are showing another upper disturbance that'll cross across Texas Saturday. That system will bring back the clouds to the area. A reinforcement of colder air arrives Sunday and that should help clear the skies Monday. 11/29 5pm

they would look just like shv but they don't have any hazardous weather in their HWO for the day 1 period. That will change at midnight.

we've got around an inch on the ground right so far with some heavier bands of snow still to our west. I swear I just hear some thunder and my wife said she saw the lightning so a little thundersnow for the panhandles.
