You are right CajunMama, I'm not hearing anything but "a drop in temperatures" from the local mets. No one is making a call on this one at the moment. Hmm, what do you think the outlook for Louisiana will be?

NWS has finally put some lower temps:

Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. North wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 33. North wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57. North wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58.

Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 40.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 57


Ya would know that it's going to be rather chilly Friday night...the night i volunteer with a local Christmas festival and i'm outside!!!!!

MOVEMENT OF THE FRONT ALONG WITH COLDER TEMPERATURES BEHIND IT
THAN SHOWN BY THE MODELS WHICH ARE KNOWN BIASES WHEN DEALING WITH AN
ARCTIC AIRMASS.
