I think it will be here soon enough! ;) It sounds like, at least for my area, above normal precipitation for December and March, while temperatures could go either way (Equal chances below, normal, or above.).

Well so far we had a couple of inches here last week, but it has all been washed away by the rain this week. Nice and mild, and once again rainy, right now.

We got our first storm about 2 weeks ago, with a measly half-inch. Maybe an inch is expected tonight and more tomorrow night and Tuesday morning. It's getting here...slowly...

I have been shivering, my skin has been drying up, and our forecast is calling for maybe an inch of snow Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Winter is a coming! :)

don't worry! Looks like Ohio could possibly have a few chances at snow coming up this week. I have a feeling you will be quite happy with the weather up there by this time next Monday.

If I remember from being in Columbus last year, it was the day before thanksgiving that the first real snow fell and settled, then there was that cold December. In fact, i wasn't to know at the time but that December would turn out to be the last real snow i saw in Ohio..January and February really didn't deliver.

And the year before, it was at least 2 weeks into December before the snow fell and settled, (the first i saw in Ohio!).

I wish i was there awaiting the cold this year! Will be a bit longer here in western England yet. Though a cold front came through today introducing colder air in what has been an incredibly warm autumn for England. The Welsh mountains, which are only 60 miles away from me are due their first snow this weekend..i'm expecting a lot of cold rain here...but things are looking up and i'm hoping in won't be too far behind Ohio! The weather boffs are going for a late winter for us anyway! Last 2 years here the cold and snow has been coming around late February into March with December and January staying mild and the consensus is that could happen again...though there are a few rumblings about a cold December flying around!

Sorry, I've hi-jacked your thread about Ohio!

Keep me informed what happens over there as i know its enetering that time of year when interesting things start to happen.

Gord - hijack away. I miss your enthusiam for winter! I've been saying each year - this could be THE winter we get record cold and snowfall, or really a typical winter from what I remember - and it never happens! We'll keep you updated if we get a severe winter.

I'm starting to get a little frustrated; we should've had our first measurable snow here almost 2 weeks ago, and now it's supposed to be dry for at least a week. Fall started off so promising here! And now we've got this crappy Indian Summer weather. Oh well, they're saying a storm is possible around Thanksgiving. I don't care when it comes, I just want it to come!

Geez Louise - this is Florida. Ya'll are gonna be COLD!

I'm getting anxious too! This week it has been in the 60's, so it has felt more like september than november. but it's supposed to get cold for a while starting tomorrow, so I'm crossing my fingers that we'll at least see some flurries soon.

In my area it is supposed to be dry with near to slightly above normal temperatures through at least Thanksgiving. Looks calm at least through next week.

I just wish we could get some moisture around here. It is very dry.

We're -10.85" in rain here for the year. Omaha is -1.97" in rain for the year. I'll trade places with you any day!

We're supposed to have snow showers overnight and into Monday. We shall see - we rarely have snow stick this early, the ground is too warm. But it's a nice sight and hopefully, more snow will be on the way as we get closer to 32, consistently.

It's supposed to warm up for TG though. 50s. There goes our plans for a fire! Oh well....I remember one TG when it was so warm, we opened windows and one Easter, we had a fire roaring b/c it was very cold and snowing. That was a crazy, mixed up year - season wise.
