Good one. Also 2003 was very active. We are not used to a normal or below normal season. 2002 was the last below normal season due to El Nino. No storms formed after September 21st.

I think this season will "hopefully" be known for the complete opposite of what was is 2005. We went from a nightmare season to a dream season.

All the "Chicken Little's" who claimed the end is near because hurricanes the likes of Katrina were to become the norm due to global warming. I guess the pie hit them square in the face. Also, first time since 2000 MGC's house was not put under at least a TS watch/warning. I don't miss the pain of packing up all the yard stuff or picking up after the storm......MGC

Or the lack of electricity, the long gas lines,boarding up/down the home,ad nauseum....Let's enjoy this while we can..I suspect that years like this won't be the norm in the future..

True. Let me clarify myself, 2002 Hurricane season ACE was lower than normal. September of 2002 was the most active September on record.
