one thing to look at, for any chance of it going west is if the weakness gets "filled in." If you look at thi water vapor loop there is a ridge near Florida that is actually building east and there is the big sub-tropical ridge NE of our system.
I'm really curious to see what gets left behind as Florence exits. Does the ridge to the west continue to fill in? Does that subtropical ridge move back to the west? If the answers are yes then this system will just meander WNW and the curve back west.
