Upper Level High in Caribbean

#1 Postby ColdFront77 » Mon Jun 16, 2003 3:14 pm

There hasn't been much talk here about the upper level high pressure system in the Caribbean and it's distance from the Tropical Wave in the westren Caribbean.

It isn't that far away from it and as we know this will aid in tropical development if the upper level wind shear decreases, which I see it possible according to the latest information and of course there is a lot of water on the other side of the Yucatan peninsula.

I heard the same thing, Jonathan. :) They have been mentioning the upper high being nearby the wave near and over Belize. It isn't like there isn't one (a upper level high) nearby.
