I see posts thanking the pro mets and thanking the NHC etc, but I have yet to see one about storm2k - the meat of this forum.
This post is to thank all of storm2k - BOTH moderators and members -during those tough times when we have an Ernesto or other threat to the US.
What I think some forget is that the beauty of storm2k is NOT just the information that it has, but the intangible "personality" of the cast of characters that it brings. Of course it gets crazy in here at times, and the forum has been chastised for excessive exuberance but its the "energy" of this forum that makes it an exciting place to browse. The end result is not just a learning but an entertaining, and to some extent a bonding experience as well.
Thanks to all again.
Thanks To All Here at Storm2k!

I want to echo Gatorcane's thoughts.
The board became a wild and wooly but is an absolute necessity to follow the Tropics and I'd be lost without it.
I'd also like to apologize to those who saw some of my comments regarding the NHC.
I got caught up in the frenzy and stepped over the line.
Thanks to the Mods who reeled me back in and helped me focus on the important issues to be discussed; where the storm is going, how strong and any other details that help the members get through and understand The Tropics better
S2K is a great place and an invaluable resource mixing a lot of Pro Mets, experts, amateurs all with a common purpose.
