Is it possible Ernie has a closed eye?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Is it possible Ernie has a closed eye?

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Aug 31, 2006 8:03 pm

No, I'm not posting false info.. but I am curious.. Radar images unless my amateur untrained eye isnt reading them right.. making it look like his "center" may actually be an eye forming

I keep seeing an open spot over the ocean or is that a dry spot?

Fascinating regardless..

Stay safe Carolinas..

Last vortex message reported a 20nm eye open towards the NE . . . and the radar does look like a poorly defined eye, so yes, one is probably trying to close off, though it isn't there yet.

Cool.. Shows I'm not a complete idiot  If he has an eye that's 20 naut. miles wide.. guess his winds maybe haven't caught up or what not.. Maybe by 11 he'll get an upgrade if he's not onshore by 11..
