About 0.5 inch of rain so far at the Tar River, Greenville station. River holding steady at about 4 feet since last night. Here in Ayden it's just light rain. I think I better put the top on my Jeep, though.

Picking up a little bit, but still time for a big nap. Some gusts here now to about 30mph at times, with moderate/heavy showers. About time we get a little something out of this............

I was listening to live stream on local channel 2 and Rob Fowler was on the phone with John Erhans(sp?) and I don't think he knew it was broadcasted, but he basically said it was over for us in Charleston.
I was hoping we would get a little bit more than this.

getting ready to get a strong band here from Ernesto even though it has passed.

Good luck guys in the Carolinas and elsewhere. Remember to make decisions you can live with - don't wait on officials to make them for you.

We have experienced heavy rain at about an inch per hour since just after noon. Wind gusts have been around 15 mph. I expect that we will feel the full effects of what our friend Ernesto has to offer here at 33.9N 78.3W.

In all seriousness, Daisy will descend soon to come through the doggy door and poop in my peace lily. Promise.

Rain, rain and more rain....a few little gusts but nothing to write home about . Swimming pool has about an inch to go and it will overflow.
For some reason every duck in the area is in our pond now. Very weird as yesterday we only had the 2 Pekings. I now count 30+

Pressure down to 29.85 in, winds 10 to 15mph. No rain for the last 4 hours but radar shows very heavy band about to move onshore south of here.
