There are now MANDATORY EVACS in place:
...NEW INFORMATION...
NEW EVACUATION AND SHELTER INFORMATION FOR BEAUFORT COUNTY.
RECOMMENDATIONS FROM HYDE COUNTY. STORM INFORMATION HAS BEEN
UPDATED.

FOR BEAUFORT COUNTY...A MANDATORY EVACUATION HAS BEEN ORDERED FOR
WHICHARDS BEACH ROAD AND LOW LYING AREAS IN BEAUFORT COUNTY
INCLUDING FLOOD PRONE AREAS IN THE CITY WASHINGTON. ONE SHELTER WILL
BE OPEN IN WASHINGTON AT NEW PS JONES MIDDLE SCHOOL AT 4105 NORTH
MARKET STREET EXTENSION.

FOR HYDE COUNTY...THE OCRACOKE CONTROL GROUP IS RECOMMENDING
SHELTERING IN PLACE. HOWEVER...ANY PERSON WITH SERIOUS MEDICAL
CONDITION SHOULD CONSIDER LEAVING THE ISLAND.

...NEW INFORMATION...
NEW SHELTER INFORMATION FOR CARTERET AND ONSLOW COUNTIES. STORM
INFORMATION HAS BEEN UPDATED.

FOR CARTERET COUNTY...ONE SHELTER WILL BE OPEN IN NEWPORT BETWEEN 6
AND 7 PM...AT NEWPORT MIDDLE SCHOOL.

FOR ONSLOW COUNTY...TWO SHELTERS ARE OPEN IN JACKSONVILLE. ONE AT
DIXON
MIDDLE SCHOOL AT DIXON SCHOOL ROAD...AND ONE AT JACKSONVILLE MIDDLE
SCHOOL AT 315 COMMONS DRIVE SOUTH. THE EMERGENCY PET SHELTER IS
CO-LOCATED WITH THE RED CROSS SHELTER AT JACKSONVILLE COMMONS MIDDLE
SCHOOL.

I will add on if more are issued...any other evacs in NC?

Aren't those ares only like 2 to 4 feet above sealevel?

I believe you are correct that they are extremely low areas...just passing along the info...
