How many more Hurricanes/tropical storms will we see?
Do you think this will be a long late running season with storms into November?

I don't mean to be rude but that type of question can not be answered. No one knows how many more storms we are going to have and how long they are going to run. Minus well go get a magic 8 ball from Wal-Mart and ask that question to it and it might give you an answer that is correct but it was by luck. I don't think this is a questions people will have a correct answer to.

Less than 5 named storms, 1 more hurricane, no majors.

Nope, i dont see this being a late season. Its probably going to end up being average, or below average in named storms. I dont feel we will even have a major this year. Now, things could change, but nature is resting after last year. Sorry, i know my answer isnt a popular one, but then alot of us want a break.

Bu-bu-bu-but I really don't. I know it wasn't the answer you were looking for, but...
It's really difficult to say. Will re-analysis bring us a named storm that we never had? Is Jim Hughes right about the El Nino? Are others right about 2002 ending up being a decent comparison year? If so, we probably get to 12-14 named storms (we're up to 5 so far). That would be my roughest estimate. But to really answer your question, "I don't know" is the truth.

I say we see 8-9 more storms and 4-5 Hurricanes and gonna throw in 2 Majors for good measure.
Its fun doing these polls sometimes.

I'm going to say six, 3 hurricanes, 1 major. I am not impressed with this season at all so those numbers may be too high...
I think the majority will be in September. No major ones after Early October.

I think there'll be at least 9 more named storms, 4 hurricanes (2 in September and 2 in October), of which 2 will be major hurricanes. Both will make landfall as majors.
That would be all the way to Nadine.. I'm looking forward for a crowded September (many weak storms) and a nasty early October (two major hurricanes).

I actually think we will see another late October major.
Strangely enough, I don't feel that September will be all that threatening. There's always SOMETHING with the Cape Verde waves this year.....some reason why they can't develop, or when they do develop, why they weaken.
There's always an upper level low in the wrong place, shear, dry air, or some combination of the 3. I think the best chance at a major this year is a late October reincarnation of Wilma/Mitch/Michelle.
