I think we've actually had more rain and wind this morning, at least at our house, in Homestead. It's been pretty steady all morning. Nothing too heavy but no real breaks in between. Have heard some thunder too. It's still very cloudy too, especially to our south.

Port St. Lucie

A little breezy, a little bit of a drizzle here and there. Nothing too much to talk about, and that's with the center of circulation to the west of me by about 20 miles. It does appear though, based on Melbourne radar, that we will be in for some pretty good downpours later this afternoon and into tonight.

More bad weather today (wind gusts and rain) than we had yesterday at the supposed height of the storm.

There's beautiful trailing band exiting to the north. Dark low-hanging band cloud like a long curved cloud.

Brightening skies to the west.

Wow, was that ever weak. I actually feel guilty for getting the day off from work.

Since last night, nothing but some drizzle....a little breezy....occasional thunder.

here are some of the wind reports going on right around the center of Enresto right now:

Fort Pierce: Gusts to 31mph

Melbourne: Gusts to 23mph

Stuart: Gusts to 26mph

**There are also some isolated *brief* periods of 40-50mph+ gusts in some of the strongest bands and storms associated with Ernesto. However, these periods of stronger winds are the exception, not the rule.**

We've had flickering power here in Boynton Beach all afternoon. The tv wxman just noted a recent gust of 37, and the radar shows a band of heavy squalls heading this way soon. Ernesto has a few more bumps in his slow ride!

Nothing bad of course, but the worst from Ernesto for our area here in Melbourne is occuring right now it seems. Started around 9-9:30 this evening. Pretty steady winds around 25-30 mph with heavy rain.

I guess this is his last hurrah before he departs the state. Looks like he is starting to get nudged offshore a little bit.
