As a voice of reason. You guys that are laughing about those that think Ernesto isn't dead yet. Please respect our opinions.. It is gonna bring a lot of rain and some decent winds to Fla. even if they aren't hurricane force winds.

Tropical storms remember are different animals then regular Florida pm storms.. We just need to watch it..and respect everyones opinion,,

I'm not laughing at anyone in particular. I just find it amusing that there is such a wide and even split in consensus. :)

Ernesto needs to hurry and get back offshore. He's riding the coast. May make it into the extreme SE Gulf before turning into FL.

No, there are others of us out here who are watching and waiting....I don't think we'll have any definitive answers until he emerges off Cuba and back onto the water. If the main part of the storm gets over water and THEN it still looks crappy, I'll go with the dead group, but until then, I still say there's always a chance. Look back at what storms have done in those deep, warm waters of the FL Straits before....

Looking at the radar, he may have just done that.

I have been tracking storms with you all for the last 3 years and I don't think we have ever had such a complicated and aggravating storm that in essence has really amounted to nothing so far.

I know when it gets in the water that might change.

Yeah...'tis human nature I suppose. I've been one of the "wait and see once it's over water" crowd, personally. I know that these storms can do anything once they start getting that warm water again....

Jo Jo it is barely a TS though. Most likely a TD now. Relax with this. Its not going to be a disaster. A little rain and wind. Just like those afternoon boomers

um pardon me but his name is not Jo Jo its John., and what you are reading is Johns opinion. I don't think he is saying anything about a disaster. I can tell you can read but I'm a little concerned about your comprehension.

I wouldn't write him off. Ernie has numbers again Dvorak 3.0/3.0. Prior, he was over land and no rating. Ernie's alive.

Settle down everyone. The one thing that concerns me is if E survives, will his lack of organization take him further west toward the GOM. In some scenarios he might stay too far south to be influenced by the trough and that's something we don't want.

Actually it's not done and to say so is pretty irresponsible.

Yeah its possible if it survives it will be too weak to be pulled north, its possible this may head to TX afterall. Amazing how this could be a blown track by everyone including the NHC, which to their defense the models they follow have been terrbile lately. Its funny have we've had this going to TX,LA,MS,AL,FL panhandle,FL west coast,FL east coast, Carolinas, out to sea, back to FL, FL west coast again, and now all the way back to TX. CRAZY..
