man i aint believing the change in this storm. i dont think anyone knows where its going. i have never seen one change this much

Well, that is true, but we all need to keep an eye on it until it goes past us. You never know.

Personally, I'm trying to remeber the track could change again, but if it verifies, I'm wondering what conditions this transplanted yankee can expect here in Savannah, GA.

Well, Gaston was a hit on us as a strong TS/Weak Cat 1 and there were many big trees down. We lost power for only about 6 hrs but many roads were flooded. It was scary. We had rain coming in many windows. Get supplies ready and make sure your BBQ tank is filled. We cooked on the grill anything left in the freezer. Don't do what I did my first year in the south (I'm a fellow transplanted yankee) and go and buy $200 worth of meat from Sam's Club a few days before.

I'll try not to. lol I've been here a few years now and our area always seems to luck out so far - just was wondering if the luck is running out. Stay safe up where you are.

Hi neighbor! Seems most people around Savannah are totally complacent when it comes to storms. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "Hurricanes don't hit Savannah." I moved here from New Orleans 14 months before Katrina, and I monitor everything. While I don't think Ernesto will be any big event for us, it certainly pays to stay alert and prepared.

I went through a couple of Tropical Storms in New Orleans, and those were bad enough!
