Just think of a very sharp tropical wave...A curps normally forms when the wave is about to close off or very close. Its when the winds are flowing to close off. I don't think we got a curps because we got nearly a west wind over the buttom. In the southern side is the weakest part of a tropical wave. Just think of a Backwards "V" the northern side is going to be much stronger. So if you got a west wind you most likely don't have a curps.
