I'm becoming a little more concerned with this area. You can clearly seem some vorticity in the GOM and it now looks like moisture is being dragged in from the BOC system. No rapid development here but none the less concerning. GFS shows a smallish/weak system dragged toward the BAy of course the strength of that can change too.

GOM pressures

All of the reporting stations in the Gulf area are showing falling pressures. Something to keep an eye on. See link below.

Yep, I'm still keeping up with this senario even though right now it looks to be a long shot.

I agree. Pressures are down pretty significantly from 24 hours ago in the E.Gom!. And the moisture that was in the BOC looked like it was heading into Mexico this morning now appears to be getting pulled toward what looks to be an MLC in the GulfBTW- Dean where is Miramar Beach?

Miramar Bch is 10 miles east of Destin right before you get to Sandestin Resort if you know where that is. You could say I'm midway between Ft. Walton Bch. and Panama City Bch.

I would have hoped by now people wouldn't look at the WRF for tropical development. It's terrible. It develops everything that's in the Gulf. Even NWS offices are saying this..LOL

I think this ULL is having some success making it's way to the surface. On this loop the low clouds way off to the west were going toward the NE earlier. If you can deal with the size, change the numframes= to 18 in this URL and you can see it. Now the clouds are moving to the SW. The buoy data is not yet supporting the presence of a surface low. I think it's coming.

Hey guys pull up http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/watl/loop-wv.html and you will see a blue dot right at the center. I know this is way premature but it may by tomorrow have a low at the surface. Hmmm! very interesting. Robbielyn
