If everything else has gone poof, it may indicate that there's a phenomena causing stoms to fail that is not yet understood by meteorologists.

I get the feeling tomorrow I'll start reading discussions in this thread about how it really looked good this morning, but now convection is dieing off and no longer looks impressive etc.

Yes, that has seemed to be happening frequently.

The waves must be shy and are frightened by all this attention. Maybe if we left them alone, they might do something.

I'm with you, Derrick. This may be the strangest thread so far this year and there have been some real beauties! Whatever happened to IMO when discussing what you think might happen someday down the road. There is no basis for so many of the blatant statements. It is my opinion that most of this banter back and forth belongs in the chat room and not cluttering the boards.

I am concerned about this disturbance for personal reasons as we are headed to St. Maarten for two weeks beginning on Saturday and do not want a re-run of Luis in 1995. Unfortunately, it is difficult to wade through the junk to get ot the important information. On the other hand it is still a long way from the Caribbean.

gotta be careful, you'll fall into the boy that cried wolf too many times trap, until one day the wolf appeared....No reason to think it can't happen to this system. The difference in this one, is that more Mets are agreeing that this could develop, unlike the other ones were most of them were saying that it would go poof, we just didn't believe them, hehe
