This should not ever become a hurricane

This wave has triggered a major SAL surge

kids,

remain patient, the storms will come

I shudder to that what this board would have been like 7 and 8 years ago, when the Atlantic had produced significantly less at this point than it had earlier on

I wouldn't put much into the SAL. I've heard SAL mentioned before, yet the storms developed just fine, just not as quick..

uually, the SAL outbreaks are triggered by the waves themselves, especially when there is a squall line racing ahead of the wave

I saw it on 15 minute meteosat imagery at the Hurricane Research Division.

You may be able to see it on the NRL visible imagery

its to the NE

System could still ebcome a storm though. The SAL should not have a negative impact until after it clears the CV islands

I guess we'll have to wait for any siginficant develop until AFTER it clears the SAL then...
