This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

While that is true, if you look at the 3 storms that did form, you can barely call the last 2 storms. Now if this continues where we just get the same type of storms we had the regular season and still hit the average, number, it would still be below average, as none of those would be hurricanes, as we know, the NHC does break it down when it comes to storms and how many will hurricanes.

I think the same at times. Everytime i think somthings gonna happen it dose differant. I to like tracking but not enough to wish one cause of the damage they bring. I remember Charley, Frances, and Jean. We got a taste of all three. Till then i saw only Floyd come close and that destroyed the park i live in as far as trees and branches, And it was out at sea. But 2004 i never imagined somthing so scary as them three hurricanes and what they did to Florida. I guess the hard part is not understanding them. Thanks to this site and all the people here i now have a much better idea as to just how powerful they really can be.. But like i read so often and learned very well is "Be Prepared""Hope for the best" and "Be safe" I too along time ago wished for one..they were so exciting to me. but after 2004 i learned one valuable lesson for sure and that was "Be Careful What You Wish For, You Just Might Get It" So i guess i am glad if they don't develope but thanks to you all i will always know where there at.. Thanks to all, for giving us a site like this to learn from....Hats off to all

just my 2 cents

I know that this has probably been answered but the water here at Cocoa Beach is chilly! Maybe that could be some of the problem with storms developing or maintaining their strenght. After all Hurricane's do need warm water. I'm sure all of you can clarify this for me. Thanks :?:

Although the overall scenario is very negative it kind of reminds me of the scenario Andrew brewed up in and trashed Florida. It has the look of an out of nowhere storm.
