Looked good earlier, looks kinda ugly now. Let's see if it can get organized.

From the previous TWD:

TROPICAL WAVE ALONG 136W FROM 3N TO 16N MOVING W 15 KT.
CONVECTION IS DIMINISHING IN SPITE OF THE FACT IT HAS GOOD
TROPICAL WAVE SIGNATURE.

CPAC TWO:

1000 AM HST SAT AUG 12 2006
FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC...BETWEEN 140W AND 180

Disorganized showers and isolated thunderstorms are located about 970 miles east southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. The coverage and intensity of the deep convection have decreased within this area overnight. Strong upper level winds will limit any significant development within this disturbed area during the next couple of days as it moves toward the west northwest at about 10 mph.
The ITCZ remains fairly active south and southwest of the Hawaiian islands. The most active area of thunderstorms is centered 1150 miles south southwest of the Honolulu. These thunderstorms do not exhibit organization that would suggest tropical cyclone development.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through early Monday morning.

And gone from NRL.
