Can anyone tell if this will be an east or gulf coast year?

I think it will be a Florida, Texas and one or two upper Gulf Coast kind of year. The ITCZ is still fairly far south, the SAL is inhibiting anything north of 12n and the trough keeps digging down the east coast which would drive storms out to sea, although can't rule one out for the Carolina's either, but I don't think the UL winds will allow anything more than a Cat 2. I'm not saying there won't be some fishes, just that the major landfallers will likley be more of the same we saw last year, throw in Texas.

After 2004 and 2005.... I think many will be dissapointed to find Mr. 2006 is resting!
I personally won't be dissappointed since my hurricane shutters will not be in until Sept 23rd.
