I see a thread titled "Huge African Wave" and think, "Will South America Wave Back?"

You know it is really quiet if you are not boarding up windows, taking down boards, and boarding them back up in a couple of weeks.

You know it's really quiet when you're not checking the tropical weather outlooks anymore in August - knowing there's nothing out there anyways............

and people fighting on the boards whether a tropical wave is developing pop-corn thunderstorms around it or not.............

and people calling you terrible names just because you don't agree with them 100 percent that a small and weak wave barely coming off Africa has potential for major hurricane development

You know it's quite when Chris is compared to Ivan.... will it reform? Will it loop around and reform??? And he dies in the mountains!

You know it's quiet when we can all actually watch pre season football without running to the computer to get the intermediate advisory.

You know it is quite when you buy a ton of DVDs at Walmart, so that you'll have something to do in your spare time.
