here's where I stand, while we can't say that it's going to be a boring slow season with a reduced number of fish storms to track, we can't say that it won't happen either.

We are due for a slow season, sooooo ya never know. It's not impossible that it will be a slow season with not much to track....

One thing that's concerning me is that usually I see areas of disturbances to at LEAST watch this time of year. Other than potential Debbiel. There is nothing out there at all at the moment.

Like I said before in previous posts, IF nothing other than a couple of tropical storms or depressions develop between now and the end of August, then yes, it probably will be a slow season. It can get cooking in September, but that doesn't mean it's going to continue into October. There have been plenty of Octobers where there was hardly any activity at all.

I guess the fact that i am even posting on this thread shows how boring this season really is so far.

Sure, this will probably be an active season. But almost 100% of all the dud seasons started like this one.

I would not be surprised if we benefit from an early Fall down in S. Fl. The weather has been pretty nice the past couple weeks. In five or six more weeks, we can start looking for the first dry air fronts. Then the dry and cooler ones. A season like last year moved alot of heat energy from point A's to point B's. This may explain the extreme heat in the extreme north and fairly comfortable conditions in the extreme south. Seems to me this may be a moderate season due to the radical heat transfers from the tropical Atlantic to the subtrop and n. Atlantic.regions(2005). Time will tell and of course..it only takes one.

Yeah it was a nice break this year not to have to rush out and fight the crowds to get supplies and all this season or have signs everywhere where donations are needed cause someone else had bad luck. It was a good year as hurricane seasons go. Didnt even have much in the way of afternoon thunderstorms this year wonder if they are related. Kindof quieter all the way around maybe winter will be good and cold cause bugs are bad.

Time keeps on ticking on by. I am curious to see when we will get the first hurricane of the season. On another note, boy is summer flying by!

well it is almost mid August - I really think things are going to pop very soon - look for strong Hurricane Debby between Aug 15th and 20th....

I just don't think we are getting of this easy....the worst is yet to come.
