Another MCS Headed for the Gulf?

#1 Postby Dean4Storms » Tue Aug 08, 2006 7:00 pm

All you Panhandlers may want to keep a heads up tonight. Tornado Warnings out with this line from spottings of a funnel cloud by law enforcement. It may become interesting with this energy dropping southward and it metting up with the weak TW and ULL coming into the Gulf the next day or so.

This is more than a Panhandle event. Severe t'storm and flood warnings went up for Mobile County this afternoon - heavy, heavy rain.

My dad saw a funnel cloud yesterday in Missouri City... It came half way down then sucked back up... Never seen anything like that before... wish he had a camera!

Some wind damage today here in Vermilion Parish, LA. A 25 foot motor home was lifted and carried 15 feet and dropped on a car. It was an isolated event and no other damage was reported as far as I am aware. It was gusty that's for sure.

We had some bad weather here yesterday afternoon and late last night. Of course I would sleep through most of it wouldn't I.
