Exactly...
If Chris reaches the Gulf and has the ideal conditions there, its probably going to become a major hurricane.

Right now we're talking about a 40 mph TS. Is this forecast to strengthen any between now and the weekend?

Just becuase Katrina and Rita exploded into major hurricanes in the Gulf,doesn't mean every other storm is going to do the same.And there is also a chance that this may NOT go into the Gulf.Let's just wait and see what happens over the next day or so before we start this whole Gulf coast doomsday thing.

based on what I'm seeing right now I'll predict a 70mph Storm by Sunday "IF" it doesn't interact with Hispanolia
