GFS - Northeast Bahamas 100 hours?

GFS is popping a little something up in the Northeastern Bahamas around 100 hours on the 06Z.

and showing vorticity in the same area with the 00Z.

It appears to derive form the northern end of the wave now at about 55W approaching the windward islands.

This wave really isn't impressive at all, and I find it unlikely that anything will come of it. My money is on 99L as the feature of interest in the coming week.

I don't know but the bahamas seem to like to grow them this year. LOL

You have to remember that both Hurricanes Bob 1991 and Carol 1954 formed in said region in August. As such I'll be keeping a close eye out for any possible development over the next week.

GFS has been destroying the Atlantic Ridge at least since Monday. Lemme check the 12z.

Well the 12z isn't out on FSU (sure it's at NCEP but I don't wanna look). But it and the UK Met's 6z runs continue to destroy that ridge.
