for the August Issue. I actually enjoyed the article and it talks a lot about hurricane science and the difficulty that we still have with intensity forecasts. It also explains, in layman's terms, the reason that deep water warm pockets are much more important that the actual SST. The article also has some nice pull-out graphics showing all the technology being used to track and research storms.
Also, there is a discussion about the debate over global warming as it results to hurricanes.
Seperate articles show pictorials of New Orleans/MGC.
