grrrrrrrrr, in the thread change I lost my reply..........

Anyway, Aric Dunn:

The seabreeze has been evident on Level3 radar all afternoon. The winds in Brownsville are out of the South - whereas winds on Harlingen, which is across the seabreeze - are from the SW. This is also consistent with the center having moved just north of that area in the last few hours. The center hasn't been SW of Brownsville since this morning. Also winds further up, between Brownsville and Corpus are from the East. These reports are all consistent with a LLC somewhere just N of the valley - looks to me near the Willacy/Hidalgo/Kenedy intersection.

Edited to add last sentence.

*Comments from Tim Heller, who IMO is becoming the best Met in Houston*

Indicated and showed where the low is, and like the feelings of the board, it’s in the Brownsville area.

Broad enough, and as it travels north, it MAY have just enough time over water to become better organized. Feels at best it would be nothing more than a TS with the major impacts being the rainfall.

Tim was pretty decent while in Dallas but got canned to make room for Dan Henry from D.C. - who IMO is more style than substance. Dan will never have the brain arsenal possessed by David Finfrock.

I can't even tell what this storm is trying to do. According the IR imagery, it looks like it's trying to get its act together... But I just cannot be sure. It doesn't have much longer, I don't believe.

I'm confused.

Don't lose hope. This thing may still have a chance. Just believe and maybe your mind power will help give it the energy it needs.

Bouy 42020 shows that pressure has fallen -.06 during the past several hours. This bouy is located just north of the position where the LLC may be developing. This system is fighting to become Chris, but it may run into land before.

Pressues are starting to fall, even the buoy near Freeport is doing so...

Still see no evidence of a LLC offshore..

the center looks like it is coming offshore or just hugging it... I doubt it will be classified before is goes ashore. I do think he is a depression based on looks alone

Try and use this source instead...

Set it up to 30 image loops if needed and zoom in...

True, though that was a bit of a healthy drop...

Too bad it's over two hours old..

You and me both. Just have to wait and see if it makes to the surface tonight.

I'm getting tired of following this thing, I wish it would just go onshore or become a TD already! Heavy squall moving through my area right now, definately feels like something is brewing.
