No one is jumping on him...all we are doing is voicing our opinions.

I can't believe some of you feel so inclined to spend so much time on something that doesn't concern you...if you are an employee of Accuweather, then I understand your motivations a little better, but I can't see how someone posting a summary of JB's column can affect you either directly or indirectly...how 'bout picking and choosing your battles a little more judiciously...

If you all are against his columns being briefly summarized then why are you even posting in this thread??

Is this any different than the course of a verbal conversation between 2 people...1 who would subscribe and one who doesn't?

I have gladly said in the past that I would stop posting these summaries if need be, but when this thread was first started I was told via PM that I could post them as long as I was not blatantly copying and pasting his discussions.

There is a legal difference between saying something and publishing it.

However, I think that summaries on a message board are okay. Anyone who has any issues should address them to accuweather, not to the posters on here. Then, if accuweather did have a problem, they would kindly request that the admin here ban such summaries. But I highly doubt they'd care. I think they're more likely to get subscriptions from people who want to hear more than they are to lose subscriptions of people who are happy to only get spotty reports of what one meterologist is thinking.

Well for the haters who are trying to spread their nazist legal propaganda on everyone else, there are several employees of accuweather who do post and read here and have apparently given the okay to briefly summarize snipits of the columns. The okay was achieved through high level emissaries of here and there. So uh, go argue about why tort reform is a total crock of **** with someone who cares.

That said, now's a good time to get back on topic. So how about a new summary EWG? :)

Not much has changed. The main points continue to be:

-The problem in the western Gulf. He thinks it will be a heavy rain maker for TX.

-The well-defined wave in the Atlantic which should work toward the Gulf next week.

-A weak El Nino which may be starting.

-The heat shifting east (and ending in the west) over the next 7-10 days.

-The weakening of the Azores high (which will lead to less African dust in the Atlantic).

UPDATE: An afternoon post just in from JB. It was brief, but he said that the system near TX still has some chance to become a TS. Either way, he said, the main impacts from heavy rain and gusty winds will primarily be over the the Gulf and upper TX coast. He also said the fact that the storm became more organized so quickly may be an indication of what other storms could do in that same area (just off the the TX coast) under better conditions this season.

Good idea.........

EWG has been given permission by the staff to post these summaries, so from here on out, if you feel this absolute burning desire to question OUR decision, please do so via PM to an admin or mod. That way we can keep the summaries coming and discussions confined to those only. End of story.

Joe's column and graphics are © AccuWeather, Inc. Redistribution in whole or in part is prohibited.

Take it from there.

Actually these are the Terms of Usage. JB might not actually have the final say as he works for Accuweather.

http://wwwa.accuweather.com/company.asp ... page=terms

Get your lawyer to verify the details of that..

Either way we want to do the right thing. They will tell us I am sure..

You must not have read past the copyright sign...

He has posted the ideas from the column IN PART. I have bolded that part for you above.
