This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Are we finally getting some model consistancy

CMC is still latching on to the Antilles wave and takes it into Florida. GFS now picking up on something and turning it just East of Florida. CMC has been pretty consiostant with this. LEts see if GFS gets consistant too.

The Canadian model in this instance has been underdoing the Atlantic ridge and if you have watched it the last couple of days you will notice that the "system" it is developing keeps moving farther and farther west before recurving. Not on just one run then a different one. But, consistently it is moving west.

The GFS has been fairly consistent with the track of this current wave we are monitoring in the Atlantic. It generally takes it up above the Islands then into the Southern Bahamas where it recurves it out into the Atlantic.

However the run today is a little different..

This run takes the wave in through the northern Islands then spins up something different but, probably associated with the wave. Even still GFS is not developing anything more significant than a wave with some low level vorticity.
