"Center of Circulation" Tuesday Night at 9pm

#1 Postby wxdude67 » Mon Jul 24, 2006 9:06 pm

Please join me and the Internet Partnership Radio Team for "Center of Circulation" Tuesday night at 9pm on http://www.ipr365.com/

I will be covering the tropics and severe weather across the U.S. and globally. As the Atlantic theatre may not be too busy; the East & West PAC are. I will be covering all tropical theatres and severe weather across the lower 48.
The topic for my Tropical Spotlight segment will be Tropical Storm Claudette which struck southeast Texas on this date in 1979 and brought record 43 inches of rain in 24 hours to Alvin, TX (a 24 hour U.S. rainfall record that still stands). Along with discussing the storm, emphasis will be made that a tropical system doesn't have to be a hurricane to cause extreme damage and fatalities.
