TUTT & SAL

Can someone tell me what TUTT stands for along with SAL?

Also, I'd like some links to get a good read about them.

THICK Saharan Dust on Central Atlantic Satellite

Take a look at this latest satellite image of the Eastern Atlantic....You can clearly see on a visible shot the THICK Saharan dust over the Atlantic from the Canary Islands all the way to the Cape Verde Islands..this is the thickest dust I have ever seen.... :eek:

nice shot of the dust out there...are you sure some of it isn't glare though? :eek:

that is some thick dust. Wow - nothing will get past it when it is like that

that's right....lets just hope that it stays north and we can get some development south of there in about a week....like the 12Z GFS depicts...

Based on this visible loop, looks like the African dust is starting to clear out east of 30W - could this be another sign or am I just seeing things?
